Settings Page

The Settings Page allows you to configure how requests are collected and managed via the SmartRequestSystem – Customer Requests & Business Availability plugin. You must configure both a FormGent form and a Directorist directory type for the plugin to work correctly. Once configured, the system will map form fields, handle request approvals, and allow email/SMS notifications.

Step 1 – Access Settings Page

  • Go to Smart Request System > Settings in your WordPress admin panel.
  • Only users with manage_options capability can see this page.

Step 2 – Select FormGent Form ID

  • Go to Smart Request System β†’ Settings β†’ FormGent Form, and select your created form from the dropdown.

  • Confirm the selected Form ID and Name , Ensure the form shows correctly in the dropdown.

Step 3 – Select FormGent Form ( Create a form first if none exists )

1. Open FormGent in WordPress Admin

  • Navigate to FormGent β†’ All Forms β†’ Click Create New.

2. Start a new form from scratch

  • Click Start from Scratch button.

3. Select the Classic Form template

  • Choose Classic Form and continue.

4. Name your form

  • Example: Smart Request System β†’ Click Create Form.

5. Create Form

  • Fields:
  1. Full name
  2. Contact
  3. Email
  4. County of Residence
  5. City & Residential Address
  6. Medication
  7. Multi Choice
  8. Deadline as of
  9. I solemnly declare

6. Save & Publish the form

  • Click Save and Publish to make the form live.

Step 4 – Automatically Approve Requests

  • Check the Automatically Approve Requests checkbox to enable auto-approval.
  • Leave unchecked for manual approval.

Step 5 – Select Directory Type (Strict)

  • Go to Smart Request System β†’ Settings β†’ Directory Type, and select your created form directory the dropdown.

  • Confirm the selected Form ID and Name , Ensure the form shows correctly in the dropdown.

Step 6 – Create Directory ( Create Directory first if none exists )

  • Before selecting a Directory Type in the Smart Request System settings, you must create one directory in Directorist.
  • This directory acts as the target listing type where submitted requests will be stored.

1. Create a New Directory Type

  • Go to Directory Listings β†’ Directory Builder in your WordPress Admin.

Click Create New Directory , make sure the directory name is correctly set (e.g., Pharmacies) before adding fields.

2. Add Listing Form Fields

  • Add the following Fields views in images

3. Update & Preview

  • Click the Update button on the top right corner to save your directory configuration.
  • Once saved, click Preview to view the directory form on the frontend.
  • When you fill and submit this form on the frontend, a new listing post will be automatically created under the selected directory.

Step 7 – Field Mapping

  • Field mapping will only appear after selecting the Directory ID and Form ID. Once these are selected and save settings, the corresponding fields will be available for mapping.
  • Map the fields for Email and SMS templates using dropdowns based on the selected form. Also include a β€˜Business Update Radius’ option and allow selecting the matching directory field.

  • Selected fields will dynamically populate notifications.

Step 8 – Connectivity Check

  • Click Run Connectivity Check after changing any dropdown.
  • Use Force Rescan if the form or directory structure has changed.
