Advanced Settings

Step 1 – Access the Advanced Settings

  • Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
  • In the admin sidebar, navigate to Smart Request System → Advanced Settings.
  • This page is only accessible after you have configured your form in the Settings page.

Step 2 – Search Form Configuration

  • The Requests page includes a default search input field. Advanced Settings allows you to extend this functionality:
  • Show in Search Form
    • Each field in your FormGent form can be configured to appear as a filter in the Requests page search.
    • Use the “Show in Search Form” metabox to enable this for any field.
    • Supported field types include:
      • Multi-choices Fields
      • Checkboxes
      • Radio buttons
      • Dropdowns

  • Don’t Show in Requests
    • By default, all fields submitted via the FormGent form are displayed on the Requests page.
    • If you want to hide specific fields from the Requests page, use the “Don’t Show in Requests” metabox.

Step 3 – Show In Logs

  • This section allows you to control which FormGent form fields are displayed in the Request Logs.
  • Each checkbox corresponds to a field from the form. Only the fields that are checked here will appear in the logs for each request entry.

Step 4 – Request Page Lock Details

  • The chosen fields will appear as locked on the frontend and cannot be edited by the user until the request availability is updated.
  • Once the availability is updated, those fields can be unlocked or managed according to the system settings.

Step 5 – Tips for Using Advanced Settings

  • Always verify your form is configured in the Settings page before using Advanced Settings.
  • Use filters to quickly locate requests by specific fields (e.g., County of Residence).
